Polycab India Limited was founded in 1964 by Thakurdas Jaisinghani and is headquartered in Mumbai with major manufacturing operations at Halol, Gujarat. The company is publicly listed on NSE and BSE following its 2019 IPO and holds BIS licence CM/L 7340134 covering building wires manufactured to IS 694:2010. Polycab manufactures household wires (including the Green Wire HR-FR-LSH range), low-tension and high-tension power cables to IS 1554 and IS 7098 covering voltages up to 220 kV, control and instrumentation cables, optical fibre cables, switchgear, fans, lighting and conduits. The company operates 25 manufacturing facilities across India and exports to more than 75 countries, supplying utilities, EPC contractors, industrial customers and the residential construction sector.
