How is the BOQ priced?
Prices in the BOQ are the latest published manufacturer list prices from each brand's official price-list PDF (April 2026 cycle). Per-metre rates are derived from coil/drum pack pricing. List prices are an indicative reference — actual transacted prices for project procurement typically diverge based on volume, dealer margin, and current copper LME, so verify with the manufacturer or an authorised dealer before raising a PO.
Do I have to submit the RFQ to use the tool?
No. The BOQ schedule, brand comparison, and PDF/Excel export are completely free and require no email. The RFQ form is opt-in — file your BoQ only if you want it recorded against the price reference index for future updates.
Why are some brands missing from my comparison?
Different brands have different catalogue coverage. KEI carries the widest range (~315 SKUs), Lapp the narrowest (~33, IEC industrial only). If a brand is missing line items, the comparison row notes how many; that brand may still be a valid choice for the items it does carry — for the missing items, build a custom comparison matrix on the relevant product page or contact the brand directly for substitutes.
How is "Lowest" calculated?
For each brand, we sum (price_per_metre × quantity) across every line item in your BOQ. Brands with no missing items are ranked first. The lowest-total fully-covering brand wins the LOWEST badge. Brands with partial coverage are listed after, sorted by partial total. This avoids giving the badge to a brand that simply doesn't carry half your spec.
Are the brands BIS-certified?
Six of seven hold active BIS CM/L licences for IS 694:2010 (and additional licences for IS 17048:2018 HFFR where relevant). Lapp India operates under IEC 60227 / EN 50525 because it serves industrial automation rather than IS 694 building wire — different scope, not a quality concern. Verify any specific cable's CM/L at bis.gov.in.
What happens after I submit the project details?
Your BOQ + contact details are filed against India's independent cable price reference index — sized, timestamped, mapped to BIS CM/L licences for the matching manufacturers. We email you a per-line cross-brand reference set you can take to your dealers and procurement. We do not act as a sales agent, do not earn commission, and do not auto-route your details to manufacturer sales teams.
