Finolex Cables Limited was founded in 1958 in Pune by brothers Pralhad and Kishan Chhabria and is one of the long-established electrical cable manufacturers in India. The company is publicly listed on the NSE and BSE and holds BIS licence CM/L 7340023 covering household wiring cables to IS 694:2010. Finolex manufactures single-core and multi-core PVC-insulated wires, low-tension and high-tension power cables to IS 1554 and IS 7098 covering up to 66 kV, communication and coaxial cables, optical fibre cables, and switchgear. Manufacturing operations are concentrated in Maharashtra and Goa. The company also produces PVC compounds and copper rods used as raw materials for its cable production.
