What is Welding cable?
Welding cables are heavy-duty single-core flexible cables for arc welding sets. They use Class 5 fine-stranded annealed copper conductor for repeated flexing, plus a heat- and oil-resistant elastomer sheath (HOFR for natural rubber compounds, TPR/TPE for thermoplastic rubber). 1100V grade. Indian sizes range from 16 sqmm (light arc welding, 100-200A) to 95 sqmm (heavy industrial welding, 500-700A). Cables come on 500m non-returnable wooden drums.
